All Art is Bollocks.
Posted on 02:28 by Unknown
from Mike Kupperman.
Art is bollocks. All art is bollocks. Or, perhaps, more, it's not art in itself that is bollocks, but the bollocks that surrounds art. Apparently, comic books are art. Because I really needed my reading matter legitimised. With the sudden emergence of the cool nerd, the rise of the geek as loveable freak, it's suddenly become not just alright, but positively hip, to bang on about the validity of comics as an art form. Which is bollocks. I don't need you to make me feel alright about my comics. Fact is, I find it insulting. Go away.
If you feel the need to convince other people that comics are art, you shouldn't be reading comics.
